New skin

Ked has submitted a new skin - 'ultra' - a green/black combo with a wirefence background. It's a little on the garish side, but has some cool transparency effects (at least in IE7).

You can select it by going into Account -> Edit profile.

If anyone else fancies a go at making one (we could do with a few more new ones), then you can download the BB skinning back from here. Send any skins to me at webmaster@...

rather interesting look, i might use it instead of granite.

"Greensleeves" is just too nice not to use. Plus, "ultra" seems to murder Firefox 3 in Ubuntu.

lol - the transparency is nice but the green colour isn't my cup of tea.
I'd prefer an aqua colour instead. Right now I'm using 'rhubarb'! :)

Its a very nice color combo, but i think the fence needs more fading, its too powerful.

Is it me or does it take on a kind of odd '3D feel' after a while? (could be the beer though:)

We have another new skin - this time noteddo by Noel.

The font is huge. I like the mouse-over effects on the tabs though.

Firefox: Tools/Preferences/Content -> Adjust your default font size to something other than 16.
Internet Explorer: View->Text Size->Select "smaller"

You should've just made the layout's font normal sized, so people wouldn't have to change the settings.

I like noteddo, although there's too much white. The larger font size is great if you wear thick glasses or have a small monitor with a high screen res.

I might have to have another go at doing a skin, I did Greensleeves years ago and it's jam packed full of errors!

i tried butch for a bit when browsing the showcase thread
but ive been on default since whenever default was out
although i do like the way two of em try to look like the old blitz site

I think ultra is alright, although i'd probably pick a different background pattern.
Also, it's not murdered my FF3 in Ubuntu yet.

Does anyone know what font the "Aquabars" style uses? (the font that has lowercase as small uppercase - and uppercase as large uppercase)

Today's new skin is greendragon by Grisu.

this thread has led me to rhubarb, very nice, as for greendragon.....it is pleasing on the eye but goes of the rhs of my monitor.
