...apparently it is in the making =)

They already screwed up the first sequel so I'm not having my hopes up about the second one.

IMO, Deus Ex 2 was way too linear and it totally missed the feeling of the original.

Agreed.

Did they state what system's it's......ah screw it, what higher-profile games these days aren't a watered-down-gameplay-console-game-first-crap-pc-port-later?

I couldn't even get into Deus Ex2 on my PC. It just didn't feel like the game I loved to death prior to it.

At the risk of saying it again, agreed :)

heads up people http://www.deusex3.com/ don't let us down again...

I hope it's more like Deus Ex than Deus Ex 2. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it though. Matrix/Ghost in the Shell/Cyberpunk themes have grown stale, and games such like Halo have improved upon its sandbox-lite "series of mini-scenarios that can be tackled in a variety of ways" gameplay.

Deus Ex 2 was a cash in on a amazing game

I played the original Deus Ex last year for the first time on my PS2 cause I got it out of a bargan bin for $3.00. That game was way better than Halo, at least the single player was.

Prior to the release of Deus Ex 2, there was an interview with Warren Spector where he basically described most of the winning points of the original Deus Ex as 'design errors'. It instantly made me think that the success depended mostly on the team and not on the lead designer. With the sequel I guess that he just went the George Lucas way (that is, getting more power due to the success and being able to take exclusive decisions that in the first installment involved the entire creative crew).

Edit: Oh well, trying to find this interview, I ended up in reading that later he gave the blame to Harvey Smith, the new lead designer. :)

Deus Ex 1 kicked butt, I've decided to never play deus ex 2, otherwise it'll probably ruin my view of the game, I don't have much faith in deus ex 3.

I've played through DeusEx2 and honestly can't remember much about it - except for a graphical glitch on the final level which caused the Statue of Liberty to flicker in and out of existence - sort of like that magic trick David Copperfield did a few years back.
