Just suddenly remembered this today when working out the angle of a lightening particle. Been a while since we learn that at school but it's a pretty handy little mnemonic. I happened to need TOA which is Tan = Opposite over Adjacent, which I then "ArcTanned" to get the angle.

I heard SOHCAHTOA about three weeks ago, taking trig as we speak in College. Yay! :)

To think I have been using sin/cos/tan in my programming without realizing how they work. :)
By the time they taught us trig at school I was 14 and by then I'd already made 3D wireframe cubes on an BBC computer, so luckily that made the trig lessons really easy.
