I have two. Still beats the loading times of the C-cassette drive!

I used to have one. One of those drives and a Freeze cartridge was one of the best things I ever had - converted all my tape games to disk so they loaded in a few seconds, lush.

And cost as much, at release!

I had Chiller for the Spectrum, it was OK, hard though.

My floppy drive was a loan from a friend, so it cost nothing :-)

I sold mine (and all my games) so I could buy an Amiga. Wish I'd kept it...but now have emulators so that's OK really.

that's the exact C64 I had and the 1541 drive too

loved the C64 - coded on it all the time - the manual was disgusting by the time I got the Atari ST, covered in coffee rings, dog eared - yikes what a mission

I had one of those, which broke, and was replaced with a C64 Mk II which looked like a mini Amiga.

My mate had a 1541 - he thought he was great. Trouble was he needed a forklift to shift the damn thing.

I want a haircut like that. I could shave my head and knit meself a carpet.

I still have a C64 and a Floppy Disk 1541 from 1984, which I have kept in my cellar. What I find interesting is: last time I looked at the old games (which was at the end of the 90's), the 1541 still loaded everything (Archon II, Impossible Mission, Pitstop) correctly from a data saving, which was 15 years or so ago. Impressing !

I still play a few C64 games every now and then with an emulator. I no longer own a C64. I do have an Amiga in my garage somewhere though.
