Back in Time - Retro Clip

Hello @ all,

22 years ago I made a small video clip using my Commodore C128. I recorded several GFX & SFX demos for a school project.
The tape seems to be lost ... but some weeks ago I discovered the VHS tape again :)

I transfered/digitized the whole stuff and made some total makeover.

Now - here's the final result -> 100% retro feeling

I sure hope he doesn't have data limits wherever he put that video file. Could end up costing some money...

I never had, or ever used a C64, - I do like the beepy boopy music compared to the beepy music of the Spectrum. Looks like it was actually technically better than than the Spectrum. Still, I loved my Spectrum. Anyway, my various Amigas walk all over the C64 so I didn't miss out in the end.

A PC-demo made in 2001 in BB2D purely using GFX from the C64 !

Getting a illegal-memory error here, anyone know how to cure that ?
It works nice on W2K but not on XP, compabitily-settings doesn't do the trick...

I can imagine "wedoe" at a computer fair - sniffing around the C64s in his full-length coat - with his little bag of sweeties - car parked nearby - engine running - remote house with hidden cellar.

I can't believe puki just said it looks like the c64 had better sound than the spectrum. Thats like saying i guess the ducati is better than my moped.

never had a C64 (had a plus4 though) but i knew the sid pwned the 8bit world, you could a few years ago get a quad sid sound card as it was still a good piece of kit (for the right kind of music that is ... alec empire of atari teenage riot released a CD composed from a gameboy music kit)

the ST had a yamaha chip i think and retained chip music into the 16bit era but the amiga had a way better setup and people moved on to mod music so xenon2 megablast would always sound better on the amiga than the ST could ever dream of short of putting the vinyl on instead of the telly ;)

dont think the pc ever had a chip music scene save for the 'beep' chip adlib and creative (well creative deffo) were heading towards wav files and 'real' instruments and games with cd audio
