,avi to .wmv video converter

Hi, I am looking for a good one (and free if it is possible)

I checked and it works although the output quality of the .wmv file is poor (I suppose I can play with some settings.)
This is strange, the downloading time took some millisecs. Then it downloaded the application its self within seconds!!!
I checked my ADSL provider but he was the same... :)

Yeh, there are lots of settings and things for quality.

Of course, if you have Windows, you can use the built-in MovieMaker app to do what you want.

Windows Movie Maker 2 makes excellent quality wmv's.

(from now on before doing a google search I must first do a search in Microsoft!)

I think I must have Windows Movie Maker 1

as you make your movie there is a blue vertical line that shows where you are in the timescale of your movie

you can drag it left and right to move your review back or forward and I find many times that doing this would crash the computer, the screen would freeze and then Windows Movie Maker would then just not respond at all

you could minimise it but not X it out and you could no longer save your progress

all other programs on your computer would work but if you tried to start Windows Movie Maker 1 a fresh it would seem that this was going to get it working but it would be fruitless, lucklily the thing AUTOSAVES every couple of hours anyway so you would probably have an autosave :LOL
