wii homebrew channel (FINALLY!!)

Although we still have to use the twilight hack to get it, its a great step!

yes, once you've done it though, you no longer need to use the twilight hack.

Thanks for the heads up- I did this to my system just now, since just yesterday I was at my 'Rents and they decided they liked their NES, and thus won't give it back to me- So now I have my NES games on the wii! :-)

Cool stuff, too bad I don't have that game.

Its ironic that zelda would have the buffer overflow, seeing as its one of Nintendo's flagship franchises!

I'm going to try this today, talked to some people on their IRC channel and they said theres like no chance of bricking your wii. :)

although it is very possible for Nintendo to brick your wii for you when they close the loophole with a future system update,

I would consider your warrantee void with this exploit.

Would love to try this out, but I love my Wii and does nto want to risk anything.
(be it a brick, or that Big N shuts me out from online play)

As i said, I've done it to mine, The HB channel doesn't use the WAD technique I don't think.

One thing- some homebrew malfunctions with the HB channel so I have set my machine up like this:

Homebrew Channel> Homebrew Launcher> Homebrew.

that's the only way to get some HB working on the channel. I'm not going to complain! :-)


I'll just have to keep an eye on the updates, and delete the channel if required.
