does anybody know about this?
It is a program that lets you connect to your computer with a psp.
I was wondering if there was any problems, or security risks envolved?
Yeah, I use TVersity for my PS3, but the principle should be the same. You'll need:
x PSP/PS3
x Wireless router
x TVersity (http://tversity.com/home)
x Some stuff to watch/listen to
Basically, how it works is TVsersity turns your PC & wireless router into a media server (which can serve external or just internal IPs). Then your PSP/PS3 picks up the Media Server and you can browse through shared stuff to watch. It's pretty damn sweet. I probably use my PS3 more for that than games.
As for security risks, as long as you specify in TVersity that you want the server to be local only there isn't any risk involved.
Note: you can't transfer stuff from your PSP/PS3 to your PC, it's only one way. You'll have to use traditional methods for that (USB, Memory Stick)

I already have the psp media server, i was just wondering if there was any security problems. I put a password, and stuff when you try to connect, and I was wondering (sorry i didnt specify) if there is anyway the people who made the program could somehow have unlimited acces to my password, and essentially my computer when i have it on?
Well, if your media server is allowing all connections (including outside your LAN) then there will always be security risks. You're basically broadcasting a media server to anyone who on the internet. As for people who made the program having access to your computer; unlikely but again, possible.
If you make your media server local there shouldn't be any problem (except anyone who can access your wireless network)
