Heh, I was just looking at text to speech :)

Expressivo is quite cheap, but I'm not sure the voice is as good as Neospeech.

the british english girls try to sound posh
the american english are a bit of a giggle (as if they are working on a blond surfer girl as the end result)

the best ive seen (heard really) is the interplay startreck one from over a decade ago
ok this one was a script of gobbledegook read out by the cast and then 'jiggled' via software to get the correct parts glued together

i remember a really naff one on the ST but hey it was on the ST

and i passed stephen hawkins once or twice (heard hes dead now but never looked that fact up)

just clicked one of the polish girls ... she sounds more human than any of the english speaking girls put together

I notice acapella can't handle 'you're' or I've'.

Pronounces them as you-ree and eye-vee.

I saw steven hawking in Cambridge. Me and the missus were sitting in tapub which is below pavement level slightly.

I looked up and there is was looking right at me from outside with his carer

he seemed happy for some reason.

i dont read newspapers dont have a tv and the only news i hear is on the radio if i happen to be passing on the hour
eg i had no idea who heath leger was nor why the world was so upset

last i heard his carer was his wife
mind you i also heard she was a bit of a thumper so maybe shes not his wife now
so if i see him when im out and about least i wont have to say "i thought you were dead"

one of the best things about cambridge is the occasional interlectual graphitti
i didnt have a camera on me but someone had spraypainted a hexagon chemical wotsname on the road near the eagle (the DNA discovers local pub)
