Starting problems

Hello,
Im not new to programming but I do have big problems in getting things to work with Blitz Plus.

1.) I want to use the serial com Port to send and receive a few bytes. There are a lot of examples available but none of them work (they dont even compile without an error message). Is the anyone who knows how to use the com port and can give me any tutorial or working source?

2.) How can I get the picture from a webcam. Also on this topic I found a lot but nothing is even close to working.

3.) How do I update Blitz Plus???

Im slowly realy frantic about this. Am thankfull for any help.

EDIT: You should search the forums (or google, site:www.blitzbasic.com serial) for serial stuff, theres already been alot of talk about it.

3) Goto "Account" at the top of the page, and then hit "Product Updates".
