Real. I don't know how you would 'fake' that.

When I was younger, as pyros me and my brothers would take lighter fluid and dump it on our hands/arms and light it. It doesn't hurt initially but after a while it does get hot. So this probobly works because you'll be moving it around enough for your skin to cool down again.

Its the top of the flame that gets hot. I'm sure this ball would get hot after a while if you just sat it on the palm of your hand, but not at first.

I think it works because of what Retimer said and because you use cotton which will take it to the "center" of the ball. it will burn out but the lighter fluid won't be out there and thats what is creating the flame effect at least till the ball runs out fuel.

Where is the computer related point on this?

It exists on the interwebs. And sometimes people use lighter fluid on their computers.

They have nothing to do with computers, but they are cool, because it's a community here, and things like that sew it together a bit.

I like filling my fist with gas from a lighter and holding a fireball.

I thought this thread was going to be about boobies. I leave disappointed.

Lighter fluid evaporating as it burns causes a cooling effect, so your hands don't heat up too quickly. It's cool!
