Ps, why do the doors keep opening?, and theres no drivers either! I reckon some fragmenting ragdoll physics would make this :)
Reminds me in the old ega days on a game called Indy 500, if you caused a car to be destroyed in the middle of the track you could win the race when the other cars came around and all piled into each other trying to avoid it. After that racing was easy as there was nobody else to race against :). Used to try to get the most spectacular replays (most damage etc :) )
The old Indy500 was a great game, ran beautifully on my XT with a 4Mhz processor speed in good old 4 color CGA - even had what seemed to be decent physics.
I could never get into the Burnout games, they were fun for a couple of goes just to see the damage. But there wasn't really much too them that kept me wanting to play.
You should try the new Race Driver: Grid by Codemasters. That has more realistic damage, excellent physics and handling, probably the best AI in a commercial game yet, and the best graphics I've seen in a racing game on the PC. A lot more depth if you want it too.
