Found a nice clip on youtube of Sonic running around mario sunshine levels, all done in Blitz3D

wierd.... I'd imagine he'd get hammered hard for copyright stuff, if he were to release it

oh yeah, of course. But it looks nice.
Shame there aren't other characters in the game.

This pirate should be jailed for life, copyright infringement is stealing!

"jailed for life"? bit harsh don't you think....

I'd agree on it being stealing if he were selling it, or if it was a real game that he'd just ripped off, but as a technology demo, it's okay.

Nawi's being ironic, since he doesn't believe that copyright should exist.

That actually looks like the first decent attempt at a 3D Sonic game in years. Should've added some rings...

ah, missed that. Need t pay more attention I think. He'd have a field day with Puki if he was serious.

This guy deserves the death sentence for copyright infringement, and for making this totally cool looking demo....

The best thing is that the demo includes the source code - one could easily use it as "inspiration" for a nice 3d platformer of one's own, methinks. Maybe Xylvan should take a look at it.

What about if he released it for free, as it is a fan made game? There are people releasing fan made movie of Star Wars for ages, providing they don't profit from it and release it for free, I don't see the harm.

Remember Robocop 2d, that was a freeware fanmade game

When I read the title I thought it would be Sonic hammering Mario.

Don't believe ripping media is against the law for prototyping ect... only if you release it, (probably why he wouldnt provide a DL link)

If it is... Puki is in big trouble :)

Call me stupid, but the only demo I found (the engine test level) didnt came with no source at all... anyone has a link to the engine source, or even the demo on that video?

I was rather impressed how the engine handles such a vast world with no slowdowns at all...

The one I downloaded came with the source code.

It's a low-poly DX7 game... it's not throwing much around at all. I'd be worried if it did slow down.

downloadlink please

Google is your friend. I searched for BlitzSonic which took me to a topic about it on a different forum.
