Blitzers posses more than just coding qualities, they are also inspiring musicians. What music software do you work with and what VST plugins do you love to use or want?
Optionally mention the midi controller or synth that you work with.
Software: Acid Pro
VST: SuperWave P8 -

Halion3, FM8 (I'm the K.F.C. of FM8! :P) and reViSiT for tracking. VMK88 masterkeyboard to control FM8 during sounddesign, but only that. Composing is done solely with tracking.
Cubase and Acid. I don't use any VST stuff. Korg 05R/w, Akai SG01v, Roland SH201, Yammy DJX, Roland SPD-20 for sounds and use the SH201 as the controller.
Fruity Loops Studio 8 for me. I also rely heavily on the excellent Sytrus instrument. It's flexible enough to generate almost all of the sounds for my tunes.
http://reaper.fm/ <- It's the bees knees. Really, - it is!
The flipside of course is I tried it and I think it's a heap of crap. It does have some really nice ideas in it though like the 'take' system. But on balance I prefer Cubase. But then Cubase costs significantly more.
Best VST is Access Virus ;)
I also use Vocaloid VST and Battery3 VST.
Do you still get an OEM version of Cubase with some soundcards? I got one with my AWE64 many years ago, but when I got a new PC it didn't work as I had a different soundcard. :/
Cubase Lite is no longer support by Steinberg. So I doubt you would now. Although I did get a Cubase Lite with my mixing desk.
ive got 3 oems of cubase lite
all from zoom products one with my guitar fx then when i got the bass model as im destroying a bass when i do use it ... and the final with the portable h4 SD based 4track
cant wait till they set up shifts at our place instead of 12 hour days 7 days in a row ... might mean i get more me time come summer to do stuff ive been too tired to do
Anything by Native Instruments - Guitar Rig, the electric keyboard and the hammond organ simulators, etc.
Protools/Reason of course.
FL Studio 8 for me. It's pretty sweet. I really didn't notice any dramatic difference between it and 7 though. Then again, I'm not really that into it, I just like to dick around with it a bit.
VST I use the most is either Sytrus or Toxic III. Both of those are quite good.
