Droid Assault Release

It's a really neat game with a great retro action feel - I'm hugely addicted to it and I'm trying to get the top online score. I bought it cos it was only $9.95. The programmer lives in Somerset btw, and I met him recently, nice guy with crazy hair. Check out his other games mentioned in the article (esp. Titan Attacks)

I gotta bump this because if you haven't tried it, your seriously should. It just gets better as you figure out more tactics. I got to level 44 and no. 10 on the online scores. Can you beat it?

I tried it and didn't like it...I loved the original paradroid though...maybe my expectations have changed.

I think I actual prefer this one. The fact aht when you die you have a backup robot is very useful. I played the Amiga Paradroid remake that was out a while ago, that was very neat. Actually completed it which I'm not sure I ever did with the original.

I liked it. Neat graphical style and interesting gameplay.

Didn't like it, but then again my first experience of Paradroid was '90 on the Amiga, which was excellent. I just can't stand all the robots looking identical, for starters. Someone should write a new version of Paradroid 90, Grey. It would sell really well. Hint, hint.

haha, not got time for that. The droids do all look different actually, but it's subtle. Later on in the heat of the battle it's hard to tell them apart.
