The R2-D2 projector is a standard projector which projects on to screens. As well as being able to play DVD it can play audio formats such as CD and MP3. It also can connect to your iPod or other player to play the tunes. Only 1000 of these R2-D2 projectors will be made.

God, I want one of these.

Artoo is fully motorized and his remote control is a scaled replica of the Millennium Falcon. You can move him in any direction, rotate his head unit and even tilt his legs backwards, to make ceiling projection possible.

Artoo has a series of built in sophisticated sensors. The first of these is the surface sensor, used firstly to stop R2D2 from going over the edge of a surface, such as a staircase. The second are leg sensors, located on the body near the legs, and are to prevent anything getting caught during leg movement. The third is the projection sensor, ensuring that Artoo is at least 1.5m from the object wall before projecting.

It's also a chuffing robot.

Buy the thing above if you want to make a statement ' Hey! Look at my R2D2. I'm both a geek and a jackass!'

I wish people would just get over SW. It's had its day.
It should have died in the eighties - except Lucas just had to go and squeeze out some new 'material'. I've seen the last three and my feeling, aside from their clunkiness and poor direction, was that they were irrelevant - Like Flash Gordon serials are to modern sci-fi. Things have moved on.

At this point it's actually become a drag on popular culture. It retards fresh new ideas from reaching our screens.

..very true..

lol @ MadJack

I absolutely have no problems with this, except that it might just break the next few weeks after purchase. It doesn't reflect anything serious in the field. I prefer to pay less and get a real projector + PS3 + other stuff, or maybe a 50 inch 1080P plasma.

They should have a hdmi input.

I consider phantom menace one of the original trilogy... it still has that feel and its not nearly as bad as the last two. Clone and revenge are only good for people who want a depressing action movie lol.
If I could afford it I'd buy that if only to take it apart... I admit I love star wars

initially the R2 brought a smile to my face, yeah the original starwars was good. I think the darth/good guy fight was quite good in one of the newer films.

This is the kind of thing every guy would like to have, but would face the old "Very nice, but where are we going to put it" china from the missus.
(which is relationspeak for "I hate it, stick it in the attic, shed or somewhere!") :/
