Any other TrackManiacs out there?

Okay, I've recently become completely addicted to TrackMania Nations ESWC; seriously, it's consuming my life. So I was wondering, does anyone else on this site play that game? My TMN Nickname is [NOVA]FinalGamer, in case you're interested.

Well, i still run a dedicated server called dedicatedservices.org in the netherlands for the old TMN, but I'm going to upgrade it this weekend to TMNF.

If you need some new car models for the game, you can get them from my website at http://www.dedicatedservices.org, got loads there. Website still needs some work, but I just have too many hobbies.

I play TrackMania United Forever now, and the great thing about the last update is that players from TMNF can play against TMUF in the stadium maps :-)

My "TrackMania Nations Forever" won't start up :-( but i got it for free so i'm not bothered.

Do you see the window with config options when trying to start the game? If not try to run the exe from the dir you installed it in.

If you run Vista, disable the User Account Control in user options, that helps with some games or applications.

my tmnf name is the same as mine here, and i really enjoy the lukes fun land server, craziest tracks ever.

I was back when the first Trackmania wasn't still well known and up to Trackmania Sunrise, then I got really tired of the Starforce protection (often it didn't recognize my original disc, and it wasn't even the biggest issue). Getting dust since then and stopped buying Nadeo products because of it.

What Doiron said. Frankly anyone who thinks they need to protect "their property" by destroying mine, can go fuck themselves.

Actually, as strange as it may seem, even Nations installs the starforce driver. Presumably they feared that by examining the code of the free version pirates could crack the other ones.

I'm not sure about the new version TMNF, but TMN also had StarForce in it. According to Nadeo it is used for Anti Cheating in TMN.
