The song he used from Portal was super for this project, too bad the game Portal was too easy for me... Took me only one day to get through it.

fantastic, comical and nice audio as well!
I tought "oh no, not portal again...", but it ended up pretty nice actually. I'd be more impressed seeing this run on the Amiga itself :P

I did enjoy the animation but I still don't understand people's need to romantise the Amiga or people's need to cling onto it long after it's dead.
You don't see people getting misty for their first microwave or having an emotional attachment to their old fridge...

I did enjoy the animation but I still don't understand people's need to romantise the Amiga or people's need to cling onto it long after it's dead.
The reason I liked Amiga that much is compared to a Dos/Windows system that time it could do videoediting much better. Lot's of 3D shots in movies where done on Amiga. If you think about the Amiga 500 with it's 7.6 Mhz cpu or the Amiga 1200 with a 14.1 Mhz cpu it could do so much with so little.
I did regret selling my Amiga CD32 with SX-1 directly after I got my first 486 computer....
Also I had the best tools on Amiga like BlitzBasic 2 and Deluxe Paint, so we remember where Blitz started way back.

Amiga means female friend in spanish, and that's propably the best female friend you could ever have. Even if she was moody(Guru meditation) and not always the fastest(8MHz), she was always there, and she did look and feel better than anything else out there(Mac, PC, Atari, Acorn etc).

Amiga was, is, and will be always more than a computer. Not only technically with it's 5 CoProcessors (Denise, Paula, Agnus, Copper, Blitter), but also emotionally. And besides, after 20 years still nobody has made an OS and GUI which comes even close to Amiga's superior technology or visual 3D look. Remember how you could just say games7:mygame and it would ask you to insert the media, or load from it if it was already somewhere in the network.
What do we have today, on Windows we have STILL the stupid 1 letter drives, on Linux/Unix we have the single tree without much logic.
Oh and Amiga's pattern matching, not even Google has the ~ (not) operator to negate wildcards including brackets ( and ) to prioritize parts of the search string, or the ? operator for single characters. All it has is the * operator for multiple characters to which it defaults so it can be left out, and the + and - operator for seperate words with *.
We could as well say that after 20 years all we have achieved is going 10 years back in development. Thanks for that, Bill Gates, I bet that was your masterplan all the way.
