Music grabing software

..anyone can recomend something i can use to grab music playing on comp??

I'm not sure how useful this answer will be to you but Creative smart recorder can record any sound going through your computer. The only problem is how to get hold of a copy if you haven't already got it as part of the software that came with your soundcard.

audacity could do it, i can't rember exactly how but i think its in a drop down box in the upper right hand corner.

Personally I just route my outputs to my inputs and press record on whatever sound recording device I have installed... So I guess it's largely dependant on your sound card.

Sound Recorder can also do it, albeit rather messily. X-)

this is weird..no matter what i do, i cant record music playing on system..I tried to turn on/off each option I got from sound driver but its just..nothing...actually, im trying to grab some theme from Youtube...sighh

I used to do it that way too. Then I found out I got much cleaner results by recording to an external minidisc, then recording from there back to PC.
