Where to get cheap paper?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Where to get cheap paper?

Does anybody know a good place - preferably UK based - to order decent inkjet paper? I need the sort of thing used for CD inlays - as far as I can tell that equates to 170gsm gloss sheets. I don't want the perforated or precut stuff as I can chop it down from A4 myself. Everywhere I've looked at seems inordinately expensive. Staples for example are selling a whole 25 sheets for £4.
Damn I love this country. I can just imagine Staples trying to charge $8 for 25 sheets of paper in America ;/

You could try looking in a previous thread I posted, I just had a gander at some sites and staples is listed with 7% off on top of what ever you would pay. But i am sure there are even cheaper sites out there for paper (and you never know they might be listed in one of those sites).

Previous thread here.

Our company recently moved to HP for paper. Couldn't tell you the cost i'm afraid, as i don't know.

I think I have found a place you can get a sample for free!
Check this link out here. UK only, and I dont know how many you get. There is a code lower down on that page to a code number you can type in.

Maybe;
L7760 - Glossy CD/DVD Label - Colour Laser

I can only recommend Ilford photo paper since its what I use. Its awesome stuff but it isn't cheap at around £15 per 50 sheets.

I've used cheap papers in the past and they're... well... cheap, for want of a better word.

whats the print run?
if its quite alot and you want it to look pro why not go pro and get a print shop to do it (you'll have to do the leg work on that one re prices)
plus it gives you the option to have a fold out that an a4 sheet just cant manage outside of front/back and inside spread

aye photo paper isnt cheap im not sure how much film photo paper costs per sheet but iir it wasnt as chips

mind you how good is your printer
nothing worse than visible banding on really nice and expensive paper

The Black Market. I know a guy who knows a guy who can get you in.. for a small fee ;)

But really i have no idea. Im not much help when i comes to anything.. :(
