Good games for the Nintendo DS

Finally bought a Nintendo DS as I wanted to take a look at the Brain Training game. Also bought Chessmaster.

What other games would you recommend - and why? All categories - best shoot 'em up, racer etc.

Assuming you can put up with more brain games, one I find quite entertaining is Professor Layton and the Curious Village.
It's an interesting game, made up of all manner of brain teasers. Also has a pretty cool story, with nice graphics and an interesting Sherlock Holmes feel.

Meteos can be beaten by randomly squiggling the stylus up and down the screen and is therefore not a good puzzle game IMO.

Are but a few of the games on my TTDS flashcart. Endless fun. Some games are great for a 2 minute blast, others for an hour or two at a time.

Starfox is nice.
Im not big on the ds anymore, but it has wifi battling, where unlike most ds games, you can randomly pair up with people, so thats nice, and there is also ds to ds wireless play which is a given.
