I game like Myst

Hi @ all.

I want to create a game like Myst (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myst).

My question is:
Have anybody experience in programming a game like Myst and is it difficult?

there was a realtime 3D version of myst released. You're not talking about that one are you, 'cause that will be much harder.

Otherwise, myst was really just a series of pre-rendered pictures with hotspots to click on to move around and the odd animated object on some screens. All pretty simple stuff.
