Letters appear as squares - take 2

Just a quick note that I've just installed the latest Intel GMA drivers on my laptop. The good news is that BlitzMax apps now seem to run perfectly under OpenGL.

Can anybody else who was having problems with this, maybe try a driver update and re-test?

Still...if it's running on a Windows box, I wouldn't take the chance running anything but DX.

I had the same issue

I worked around it by changing HOW the pixmap was created. I grabbed a pixmap rather than created it, and suddenly I got images instead of white boxes.

Well, Mark confirmed there was a specific cause, and everything else that required OpenGL but *wasn't* written in Blitzmax, worked fine.

But yes, oddly, a driver update has resolved it.

Has anybody who had problems with GL/ATI cards tried the latest Catalyst drivers?

Yay! It works now also on my Intel 945GM labtop!

well, there's no driver update for my Intel card. :-(

Mine came through Windows Update.
