Recently hooked up a TV to my computer via my video card's HDTV-out using an s-video cable and a coaxial modulator, so I've been having fun with that while being scared to death by my second monitor, which looks to be on the verge of death with the loud static noises its been making recently.
Anyways, one thing I expected was text to be hard to read due to the interlacing nature of this piece of crap 19" 480i CRT TV, but even after lowering the resolution to 800x600 (would have went 640x480, but there's no easy solution for that) and playing with nVidia's TV options, I can't make anything readable to the same state you find on console games. Anyone have any suggestions on this manner?
As far as te TV goes, it's nowhere near as effective as an actual monitor, but it's surprisingly good for YouTube and emulated games due to the scanlines/colour-bleeding making crap look smooth. May find me a solution in the future to hook it up as a third monitor once I replace this old 15" CRT that I'm afraid to turn on.
