Hm... Surprisingly many point-and-click adventures on there. Nice!
I see Afterfall in there...done by Unigine engine..
I see cryptex of time in there, done using Blitz3D
Great link thanks!
I'm particularly interested in Limbo (http://www.limbogame.org/) - I wonder what's happening with this?
EDIT: Oh, and Machinarium looks interesting too - as does Vampyre Story, Kaptain Brawe, Perry Rhodan, and Deathspank.
I'm looking forward to Project Offset :c) Penumbra Black Plague is pretty good, too...
where's the upcoming Blitz Games 2008 screen shot list?
Nice to browse through but will Project Offset still be the same after Intel bought it? I thought this would end up more in a tech demo with the engine beeing made available in some way.
Anyway there were a lot of adventures in there, Resonance looked interesting to me. Cassius Pearl could be interesting too but i'm somehow distracted by the flash look in an adventure.
It's a strange list though - there are a bunch of overambitious "fan games" (for example, the Freespace 2 mods based on the Wing Commander series and the Star Fox unofficial sequel) that you just know will never see the light of day.
Lots of good stuff there, and it looks like the Total War series will finaly have tall ship combat :)
Being quite into naval history and the age of sail, this should be awesome.
Oooh, Tomorrow War, Black Shark, Junction Point Project from Warren Spector, Mass Effect PC and Deus Ex 3!
LOL @ Duke Nukem Forever!!!!!
HEHe
Very good list. I didn't think there'd be that many titles that look purchase-worth for me on the PC platform.
Good thing too since I can't afford a 360 which is where the majority of titles that interest me get released on.
very impressive list. so many games... so little time - ape games loco mogul looks cool.... I was a RRTycoon II fan. RRTycoon III kept crashing on my system. Bad QA I s'pose.... A LOT of very impressive looking games, even as stills!
Theres only a few in that list I'm interested in...
there are some great looking games in those screenshots

We must really have different tastes in games. To me it looks suspiciously like "Last days of the Amiga" to me. A few really ambitious games (Alien Breed 3D II, Napalm), a handful of last-ditch half-hearted attempts (Time Keepers, Worms), a bunch of ports and remakes (Myst, WipeOut) and a bunch of "indie" games (I couldn't name one, if my life depended on it).

Me too, and they're almost without exception nostalgic based games, developed by someone other than the original people behind them (Fallout 3 and Jagged Alliance 3) and you know they're going to suck.
Does anyone still not think the PC is the new Amiga?
Not really because there is nothing to rival it for all round computing, except a mac. Until consoles can do everything PCs can do, be more backwards compatible and less like a "toy" then i doubt it. I prefer to sit at my desk and play a game on my PC, rather than fighting over the TV with the girlfriend who wants to watch some crap.
Im pretty sure im not alone.
Get his and hers TV's.
God, so much bad art.
Jagged Alliance 3 looks like a 256 color isometric game from 1995.
Storm Eagle Studios is proud to announce JUTLAND, exciting World War One naval combat featuring our award winning Distant Guns 3D Combat Engine.
Pfft... Pffffttt... BWHAHAHAHAH!
Are they using DARK BASIC?!
As much bad/generic art as there is though, there are a number of games that look really nice. Vampyre Story for example.
Personally I think that there's a lot of variety in the upcoming games. I don't get a doomsday feeling at all - but then again, I'm not particularly interested in most new games either way, so I might be missing things. FPS here, FPS there, RTS here, 3rd person action adventure there...I don't want to play action-based games.
But there's definitely an uncomfortably large amount of sequels planned. Quite a lot of them.
Oh, and lookie lookie at the puzzle section - Spandex Force is mentioned! :D (BlitzMax)
