No. I didn't even know what flight of the amazon queen was, TBH.

Did anyone actually play the Amiga version? It came on eleven floppies, so presumably only people with hard drives. If memory serves, the Amiga was on the way out by the time this came out anyway. I know I already had a PC because I played FOTAQ on PC. Quite a decent game, but not spectacular. Better than 95% of modern adventures, of course, but that's not saying a lot.

FOTAQ was a second rate rip-off of a Lucasarts SCUMM adventure game.

I played a CD version on the Amiga . It wasn`t bad at all but no Monkey Island.

Played it completed it in eight hours, most of the problems were rather simple. The only one that was amusing was the hoover and the bees :)

I never finished it. It was Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis without the charisma and charm. It was Monkey Island without the great humour.

It wasn't as good as Indiana ones but at least it was an enjoyable adventure. You know they don't release Indy 4 like adventures every week.

Yeah, they don't release decent adventure games at all these days. Old school Lucasfilm games/Lucasarts were great - they used to release one absolutely stunning adventure game each year - up until Sam 'n' Max which sucked and was the start of a long line of stinky games, stretching all the way to the present.

That's not quite true. If you want to play an adventure game on LucasArts quality level then you should try out episode 204 of Sam&Max as this one is.

Thanks, but no - I really don't like Sam&Max. Or episodic gaming.

I'm also not so fond of episodic gaming and Sam&Max was one of the more weaker LucasArts titles but nevertheless this simply is a very good adventure.

The only full size adventure i could suggest to you would be Jack Keane. Not as good as MI but way better than FOTAQ, probably the best full length adventure which has been released since some time.

The area of the truly great adventures is long gone. Or may be we have just grown older... ;)

Perry Rhodan looks great, but I'm very wary of european adventure games that come from non-English speaking countries. I've never played a European adventure game that was anything other than terrible. French and German adventure games are particularly bad, in my experience.

Still, I do like the screenshots on the Perry Rhodan website. I hope it isn't yet another adventure game that takes itself too seriously and contains long-winded, badly written dialogue.

Don't know how bad the English translation will be, so one can't tell. The game itself got decent to good ratings, but some puzzle parts are said to be quite hard to solve.
I like the gfx style and I love Perry Rhodan, so this was a must buy... ;)

The pricing is quite cheap for video games here, 35 EUR. I'm wondering what they will charge in other countries. They should have put more effort in their website. When you click "English", you still get German texts, oh boy... XD
