does anyone know if there are some SCSI controller drivers arround for vista. i need that to use my 15 years old scanner...
i would apprecheate if anyone could help me.
thanks in advance :)
Depend on the SCSI controller. I would look at Windows Server 2003+ drivers for that. Then there's the problem of your scanners driver/software ( and I guess you would be bu**erd then).
i just looked at my scsi card. something like "qlogic"...
i hope there is one driver for all qlogic cards because i didnt really see any product id on that card. will ask my brother if he knows where we bought it 15 years ago...
i'll come back tomorrow, cya.
qlogic.com shows 7 different SCSI cards... But for all you know there may be a ton more legacy adapters for which they no longer offer the drivers online...
Adaptecs controllers have extensive Vista support. However chances are good your 15+ year old scanner will not.
Many of the cheap SCSI scanners of the mid/late 90's used OEM ISA controllers, which you won't find drivers for in the NT universe(NT, 2000, XP, Vista).
