(F)EULA - is this any good?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/(F)EULA - is this any good?

Hi,

I searched the web for an EULA template to use and found this.
It is short, written in simple and understandable english (even for none native english speakers like me) and sounds good to me. Anyone see any problem with using this for a shareware app?

Thanks
Jake

Looks fine, most people will never read it anyway.

aye im sure you could sneak a sonnet or dirty story or 3 in most of em and no one would ever know

There is no mention of the word hermaphrodite, this could cause huge problems in the EU.

Apart from "no-one is going to care" and "it's not a legal document", no problems at all.

A recent survey on a website for technically savvy people in Denmark asked the question do you read EULAs. 70% responded "I Agree".

I always find it amusing how these (and many other legal documents) prepared in the US try to bind those people accepting them to US law. Unfortuantly if your in any other country except the US, US law does NOT apply, ever (except possibly in foriegn embassys). The RIAA has even tried to sue people in other countries for beaching US laws in other soveriegn countries where US law doesn't apply, what more evidence do you need that they have more money than sense?
