I wasn't aware of it, just heard about it today.
Yes, it was on cinema last year, the movie is ok, or actually pretty good, but it contains some critism of human and society, that actually irritated some guys tho.
BTW, it's somehow ineffective to squeeze a huge story line into a short film imo...

never saw it but iir (from posts about it on this site) it turned what could be a good movie into a run and gun martial arts average flick with a video game name
it was better than i expected.
Yeah I thought it was okay. Worth a watch IMO, and there are plenty of films I haven't bothered seeing through to the end.
I thought it was a reasonable action flick in its own right, and having also played the games it didn't disappoint in that respect either.
The central character was an accurate likeness to Mr 47, in both appearance and manner. And by god, that chick was a hottie.

The critics have been so bad that I decided not to watch it in a theatre. I probably will buy the DVD tho.

well - I never thought Hitman has a huge story line, do you? Especially Hitman2 had very nice graphics for the time, but I didn't finish it cause the level missions were all very similar. Nonetheless 47 is real cool. I like the way he slightly bends his head to the left side when he's walking around :)

I Give it a Plus 1 for the chick
47 wasnt a bad likeness just showed to many positive emotions for a good character portrail...

It was pretty decent, if you go in with your expectations in the right place you'll enjoy it.
peoples expectations are often let down by game to movie franchies
and comic book ones too
i saw constantine not knowing it was a hellblazer movie
to me it was an okish movie bout the paranormal evil and holy water bombs ;)
if for example they took hit man and took out the 'hitman game' story elements and shoved it out as its own movie it would probably be recieved better by gamers in general
but as a hitman game its got the hitman fans to cater to (or not as some game movies go)

... or just watch Leon instead. But the girl in leon makes it something diffrent imho. From all Game Movies I know Resident Evil 1 is the best. Thomb Raider 1 wasn't bad too, although Angeline Jolie, even if popular, wasn't a perfect match for the character.
Van Helsing and RE I are ok , but this movie is crap...
