The player is free, I think isn't bad, the SDK isn't, as we have theora now that's not big problem.

Yes it is free. I just made a video with it. You have to leave in the "Bink" logo at the end, but that just makes it look more professional.
The Blink RAD Video Tools has been free for quite some time, I remember using it 3/4 years ago now, and yes you right the logo will appear at the end. If you want it removed, then you need to purchase it, but the SDK is not free, you need to purchase that, and it cost alot.
But its still one of the most powerfull video compressions when it comes to quality per MB.
Theora is nice ... but compared to it, its kiddy toy.
Otherwise you would see Theora on consoles, especially NDS, not Bink and the like ;)

You're likely one of the very few people who think it looks more professional. If I suddenly see a Bink logo pop up after every cutscene, the credits, intro videos, etc., I'm going to be thinking the developers were something other than 'professional.'
