What Blitz Games make you come back for more....?
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/What Blitz Games make you come back for more....?
For me joystick jonny. I think it's appeal lies in the fact you can dip in and out of it quickly, and get instant gratfication from the varied types of games within it.
What blitz games do you come back to and why?
Well, I don't come back to it any more, but S.U.A.V.E,
Sports
Utility
Assault
Vehicle
(Extreme?)
had me addicted until I completed it. It's just a simple First Person Shooter, but it's done really well and it just somehow feels refreshingly different to all the others out there for reasons I can't fathom. It's free, too.
I played the hell out of the demo of mechanized warfare... that was so fun!
I was addicted to Speed Thrasher for some time.
Still playing bullet candy demo from time to time and sometimes GridWars.
links to these here blitz games?
S.U.A.V.E. is great. I actually bought it when it was sold but now it is free as mentioned above.
Highly recommended. I`d say that it is one of the best Blitz3D games out there.
Here`s the link,

I kept going back to Eschalon book 1 but after it was complete, I didn't play it again. I guess you mean more sort of mini arcadey addictive games that you can play a few minutes of or something?
Joystick Jonny is a great pick-up-and-play game.
I used to play Naked War loads, too, until it got put on the back burner.
I keep going back to
Eschalon: Book 1, but it's taking me a while to finish because I only have time to play it for a few minutes here and there. I don't think I'll probably keep playing it once I'm finished though.
Definitely GridWars.
@grey, yeah I suppose i did mean the dip in and out without too much commitment games. But then I've had far too little time for games that require swathes of time recently.
Eschalon book 1 looks quite interesting.
Tachyons game Eschalon book1.
Couldnt put the damn thing down. Completed it now tho so am waiting for the next. (Hopefully it will be a while so i can actually get some stuff done!)
Another vote for Naked War here.
Tank Universal.
Master of Defense.
GridWars.
Super Moron Idiot.
Joe Lesko's (Agent4125) stuff is generally great --
http://www.joelesko.com/cgi-bin/games.plI loved Non-Stop Action Hero and Barbarian Roller Rally
I think Tank Universal can make anyone believe they can make a great game like the studios. Even if the graphics look sometimes a little dated, they look good in it's TRONesque design.
yep, I liked tank universal's graphics and gameplay.
@Jim, thanks for the link to Joe Lesko's page. I couldn't locate a link to joystick johhny that'd allow downloads.
Naked War is on my games to do list, which keeps getting bigger. I finish college in a couple of months, that'll free up some time....
downloading SUAVE now.
This last one isn't a finished game as such, still brilliant fun:-

heh - great to see Tank Universal gets a mention here. I'm about to launch a mega-update which includes better play mechanics and a skirmish mode - so I hope that'll keep people coming back to it as well.
I'm glad I finished my first game/application - bit of a BMax/Grey Alien Framework/VB6 front end mongrel - but hey it's approved by becta!
So, you can't shoot me har har....
Glad to hear you've an update on the way MadJack, do you take your name from father ted?
do you take your name from father ted?
Well, Seigfreid Sassoon was nicknamed 'Madjack' because of his insane risktaking on the battlefield - but it's more from the village idiot ;-)
MadJack, do you take your name from father ted?
nah he was called father jack
he might have been mad but i think that was the domestos talking or the windoleen chaser
I tend to play my own Pitfall II clone from time to time... :)
Ahh yes .. Pitfall II - I like
