Opening videos full screen on second monitor

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Opening videos full screen on second monitor

Hello.

As some of you might recall I'm doing some animation stuff for my theatre company and will be projecting it onto a screen at the back of the stage. Aside from all the resizing of the videos so they actually fit on the screen (and don't animate the actors) it's mostly going well.

There is one problem that I am having, however, and it's a pain in the backside. I'm controlling the animations from my laptop so have an extended desktop on which the animations are played full screen. However, when I double click my video file on the normal desktop it opens media player in a window on the extended screen or opens full screen on my desktop - anyone got any ideas?

Alternatively, if anyone can point out how to display videos in a bordeless window, that'd also be good.

Thanks for your help.

Goodbye.

Soggy,

I could write you a Director programme which would play external video files which could be named...

video001.mpg
video002.mpg
video003.mpg

I can position these to play on the left or rightside of a two monitor system - I'd need the monitor specs (res etc).

IPete2.

If that helps?

Hello.

IPete2: Thanks very much for the offer and for the quick response. However, a bit of fishing around and I've found a solution at http://www.brothersoft.com/player-download-19225.html which does exactly what I need as well as allowing my to resize dynamically which is going to save me a whole lot of time. Again, thanks.

Goodbye.
