I would just get a Nokia 810.
I'd go for the openpandora, its much smaller than the elonex.
It's smaller than the Nintendo DS Lite and is claimed to be comparable to the GameCube in processing power. Uses the same GPU that the Dream cast uses....

* Gamepark split. What was left was Gamepark (minus some key people), and GamePark Holdings.
* Gamepark Holdings released the GP2X.
* Frustrated with GamePark Holdings' lack of attention for their beloved machine, a group of like-minded GP2X fans got together to design, engineer and fund a new machine. "What the GP2X should be if it were created now" sorta thing.
That machine is the Pandora.

Not unless someone writes or ports a PS1 emulator for it and manages to get it to ship with the machine it won't. And what are the chances of that? Still, it should still be perfectly capable of emulating everything you otherwise mentioned to some degree (except PS2 - now you're just taking the piss).

As I've studied that stuff till I switched, I am always a little sceptical when it comes to "over minimization" especially thinking about the battery runtime.
The GP2x is already at the border of inacceptability for a mobile device and I don't think that something more like a real gpu than an ARM9 will help much there.

GP2X capable of emulating PS1 games? Yep, sure can. Does it pretty well? Uh... I wouldn't think so. The PS1 emulator is an impressive bit of software engineering to get it to where it is, but given its best results thus far are "barely playable", it'd be a claim of great temerity to say it "does it pretty well". Still, your standards could well be lower than mine, so if you're happy/happier with it, then more power to you.
Back to the original point though: a PS1 emulator on the Pandora is a lock-in. A dead certainty. And I'm sure it'll run well enough that people will buy the Pandora just for that. But even in the unlikely event that a PS1 emulator for the Pandora ships with the machine, it's still gonna need a PlayStation BIOS to run it, and CDs encoded into rom files to play on it. All do-able, of course (with varying degrees of legality), but anyone considering that as "PsOne emulation 'out of the box'" is in for a world of pain.
