Google images in stunning 3D

If you have a pair of 3d glasses.

Just type 'anaglyph' in Google image search.

Page after page of real 3D pictures.

Total touching.

There are even nebula ones too.

This one is quite stunning in terms of 3D:



I challenge anyone to disagree.

I disagree, on the grounds that all I can see from your posted image is a suble shaded white box with a red X inside.

Oh, and I havent got 3D glasses... So I'm knackered anyway! :P

Might just be me, but i don't seem to need the 3d glasses. I get SOME sense of 3d image from just looking at it for a while.

Has anyone tried doing a stereo photo with a normal camera, a tripod and a ruler?

I was wondering if this would work:

-Take a center picture, remembering exactly the point on the scene in the camera's crosshair.
-carefully slide the camera tripod 2" left along a ruler
-aim at exactly the same point and take the "left-eye shot" shot.
-move the camera tripod 4" right against the ruler
-aim at exactly the same point again and take the "right-eye shot" shot.
-Load the left and right into paintshop and make one greenovision and one redovision.
-Then make the center photo greyscale.
-Superimpose left and right onto center.

I think this may just work! Im going to try this later!! :/

in the olden days they just used to have 2 identical B&W cameras side by side

some of the depth perception issues might be down to the fact that in them days really old cameras were really big so their werent much room for moving em closer

and being that the subject had to stay still for a long time the move camera method just wouldnt work

hell even my pocket fuji has issues with moving subjects (ok on a light show rock stage) without flash (tis pointless using flash for rock gigs cos all you flash is the audience's heads

It wouldnt be any good for moving, but *should* work for static stuff.

aye everything seemed framed ok (didnt take my propper gig camera incase they confiscated it) but by the time it clicked hed only have to move a fraction and woosh
not a very good iso range me thinks

my panasonic is way better @ concert lighting thou it hates focusing on african skin tones under purple light

you were on about sterographs ;) aye trying to get a moving stereograph :))

but my pocket camera does suck for low lights
it can only do one iso rating :(

D4nm4n: it works, I've done it in the past.

there's a bunch of programs that can take both images and make an anaglyph 3D image out of them... Or you can do it manually in photoshop if you manipulate the color layers properly.
