Request: I want a Blitz3D nebula creator

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Request: I want a Blitz3D nebula creator

Someone needs to code a nebular creator - IN BLITZ3D.

I love looking at these things - i need a nebula creator.

These are real space pictures:

Well, what are you waiting for? Off you go and start work on my Blitz3D nebula creator. I'll wait here.

Those pics are crazy. Wow! That looks cool. And sorry to be a pest but; Puki you sound like a really smart person, and reading the forums you have done some pretty amaing things with computers. Can you take a look at my .scf post?

The universe is a beautiful place! :)

*Dabz hugs a tree*

hi puki

would you like that in 3d so you can explore it?

sure I can code this, it will only take me a night or two to code the nebula 3d version which you can explore...

but no lifting of media!!!

but no lifting of media!!!

That's like trying to tell G. W. Bush to kiss and make up with BinLaden. :)

I guess you gotta break the nebula down into its features, do perhaps some volumetric cloud type thing, some light sources, shadows, bright stars, maybe simulate gravity or areas of congregation, some fractal noise or something.

Puhhh, i just read "I want a Blitz3D nuclear reactor"...

i thought he wanted his own virtual forum member nebula ;)

Same.

Hello.

Puki, take a look here:

Goodbye.

puki my friend, just for you I have found this:

3d animated nebulas, really beautiful

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=UCp-XKeSvSY

I'm sure something like that should be easy to do in blitz3d, If I had time I would look into it, but perhaps someone else can try to make nebula simulator...

enjoy :)

Wow this is quite nice, thinking of spore right now...

Here I am.

I'll now investigate the community's offerings.

"Soggy P" - very poor - can try harder - must pay attention.

"maximo" - good effort - can try harder - didn't try hard enough.

Anyone actually started to code it yet?

puki I actually posted this as well but it seems like my post did not actually get posted or something...

In my post that didnot make it I wrote that you should make sure you don't piss your pants after watching this:

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=e-tF4sF8eq4

that first picture only shows 6% of entire universe. Its interesting to notice that the universe looks a lot like neurons network ;) anyways its really beautifull when it zooms in and starts rotating around the galaxies and nebulas :)

I belive the video is made by some universe simulation program that scientist constructed that can simulate big number of particles... actually this is what is says on the video:

The Millennium Simulation(The most accurate 3D map of the universe) is
complemented by the hauntingly beautiful Echoes by Pink Floyd.

Hello.

Alas, my efforts weren't appreciated. I thought it might point people who can be ar$ed in the right direction.

Goodbye.

But you really shouldn't watch it on youtube...

Nice one "Boydy" - I'll expect your Blitz3D conversion after the football. That gives you about 3 hours.

Prepare for disappointment

"Boydy's" is part of this:

Hello.

I've just noticed that in the first picture it looks like a turtle's head (and, no, not the botty produce sort) emerging from the clouds. Perhaps the discworld universe is about to encroach upon us.

And in the second, it looks like a flatulent teddy bear is being given the finger by the universe.

Cool.

Goodbye.

Yes - I see the turtle head too.

Not sure about the teddy-bear - unless it is an exploding one.

so anyone got a quick demo of this? look quiet simple to do, puko you got anything running yet? ;)

I'll pay 50€uros to anyone who posts some code that can produce anything that is close to what infinity-universe.com has managed to produce, withouth black clouds ofc ;)

Basically, build your random thingy-bits - then smooth everything out with particles with a bit of plasma effects. The secret is to apply the plasma in 3D and hold.

Not sure about the teddy-bear - unless it is an exploding one.
