Indie game needs beta testers

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Indie game needs beta testers

There's another Tron-inspired indie 3d tank game in production and it's looking good.

http://www.fanaticalgames.com/

It's at beta stage and needs testers.
Thought some of the blitzers here might be able to help out?

That bares more than a passing resemblance to TU dunnit?!?!

I guess, but it's all good ;-)

I've signed up as a tester - hope some others here can do the same.

So did anyone sign up for this (or do we all just talk a good game about supporting indie dev)?

I did look at it, but it didn't seem to me to be a game I would enjoy playing and I didn't think it would be a good idea to join a trial for I game I probably wouldn't play very much (if at all). It could give the games author's a misleading impression and they might shut out someone who really wanted to play.

I hope we arn't going to be required to submit a justification of why we don't respond to every request or appeal that someone puts up on the board...

Darkheart

I've signed up.

I'm quite well known amongst my friends for supporting quality indie games, and this one looks quite interesting.

Some of the best games I've purchased in recent times have been indie efforts.
- Naked War
- Fren-ze
- Aquaria
- Mr Robot
- Master of Defense
- Pixelships Retro
- Immortal Defense
- Wonderland Adventures
- Fairway Solitaire
- and of course the majestic Tank Universal

All great games and all deserving of support.

If only there was more time and money around - there's several others I'd like to try as well.

No you aren't.
Only puki is as he is trying to buy the world so when he is not interested he has to explain why ;-)

And no, I didn't sign up. I only request trialship for stuff I intend to trial / test actively, otherwise its only wasting my and their time and cut a tester that would have brought more use.

Just wanted to thank Phil for posting this here. It's something I've been meaning to do but just haven't had the time. Also thanks to everyone for their interest and participation. :)

As for Bit Battles looking like Tank Universal, well, that's to be expected I think. They're both fairly similar in the graphics department because they're both set in a TRON-ish world. Where the differences really come out (and where it counts the most, imo) is in the gameplay. Both games play very differently from one another. TU focuses on sheer singleplayer goodness, Bit Battles is strictly multiplayer.

Well, sometimes you've got to wave your arms around to get a response ;-)

(and I've got some non-response forms you'll need to fill out. In triplicate please).
