Anyone else in the UK having problems with Youtube?

I can't seem to get on the site ever since Pakistan banned it.

Yes, it seems to be down.

I've been trying to play one of my fav vids for over an hour, now. :(

It was down for a while, it's back up.

Any idea what it was? I recon some kind of DOS attack in protest of it being taken out of pakistan?

Maybe it was just normal downtime to delete a few million copyrighted materials from the site.

The ban is pakistan isn't perminate i believe.

It wasn't working anywhere for an hour.

Pakistan ordered all its ISPs to block access to Youtube because it has cartoons allegedly mocking the prophet Mohammad.

Something went wrong and the ban was virtually global for a while.

I don't know why Muslims can't exercise a bit of self control and just stop looking at things that offend them. Although it seems that there isn't much lately that isn't offensive to Islam...

Oh yeh, cuz nobody ever causes a fuss when someone portrays Jesus in a mocking or innappropriate way.

Well I don't think anybody's ever gone as far as making death threats over a silly cartoon about Jesus.

There used to be a band called Jesus Jones - nobody cared.

I could call a teddy bear "Jesus" and be safe in the knowledge that the local clergy [probably] wouldn't put a bomb under my car.

Extreme violence and massacre is a peculiar way for a supposedly peace-loving religion to deal with problems.
