Uwe Boll...someone kill this guy please! I just saw Dungeon Siege movie by him. It made me puke all over my keyboard. There is only one game he should make a movie of which is Lights of Dreams!

Tomb Raider and Resident Evil movies are very watchable... Not strictly due to the story, but hey, who's counting eh!
And I've only seen the trailer for dead or alive, but that looks like a 14 year old boy's dream movie?!

"ohh i dont fancy that one" said one 16+ girl "it looks scary"
"scary?" i interjected "its just another generic zombie romp if the first is anything to go by" seen one zombie movie seen em all you just run a dead pool with your mates
alone in the dark
aside from the title it bears little resemblance to the original game to me (unless the sequels that i never played were kinda like that) watchable but i would have prefered it was the same film with a different title if its not going to be the game
back to resident evil 1 i watched most as a 2 disc VCD many years ago and didnt pay THAT much attention to it
i knew girl had amnesia due to the gassing in the begining and at first thought perhaps the swat woman was related/friend, then when i found out they werent (or atleast thought they werent) the moment she got bit i would have capped her there and then
but noooooooo we survive and we are on a train to safety (with a turning to a zombie swat woman with a gun)

i just remember it being riddick at the time which was just about watchable (once they got the projecter to project in the correct aspect ratio ... the universal intro was an egg)
my biggest gripe is all the horror movies are now rated 15 so A> you get the annoying kiddies in the audience and B> you know its not going to be scary or gory
but i also loved the way the remake of the texas chainsaw trailer (shite remake) was jet black with just sounds of a frantic woman scrabbling around in dolby digital 5.1 or whatever for 2 minutes then a chainsaw
iir that trailer got banned as it scared the living bejezus out of the audience
kinda the whole point i would say
as without any visual cues your own brain paints the picture ... and sometimes your imagination can scare you shitless
for example i put a mental image of a japanese face mask behind this door window at work and when i was working late even though there never was a real mask id glimpse said mask periodically and send shivers down my spine
esp after watching the ring trilogy the night before

lol. My fave type of character in one of those survival type movies is best sumed up by the "Its not happening Man!!" character in Aliens (Alien 2).

I quite liked the TombRaider films (but only because of my girlfriend Angelina Joley who's cheating on me with brad atm).
The Resident Evil films were good also and I very much liked the Silent Hill movie so not all game > movie films suck. imho anyway.
