Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Great move from Sony.. :)

..for some of you this may not be a news, anyway i have decided to post it here...It seems that we all will have pro tools in hands for free, with support from giant like Sony...regarding publishing game is a different story but once reach that stage, it should be positive thing anyway..whatever case may be, this is great, and I cant wait to download this thingy...if anyone has download link, let me know, please :)

Sounds cool, but it says the engine was the one used in Dirt - the performance on the PC is absolutely dire. My PC can run Crysis really well but it struggles to show Dirt at a decent framerate, which is only drawing a track and a car.

Too bad it's not the engine used in Flatout2, which looks ace, moves like lightning with loads of cars, and has an excellent physics and damage system built-in.

I'd like to wait the download is out and then comment it, it's promising tho.

My PS3 is covered with dust, I think that's time for SONY to do something.

Was used to make Flow, Fripshift and Dirt.Cross platform, cross api, support for max, maya, collada, docs, samples, game examples and they mention compatibility with Bullet, Havok and PhysX

So on the surface it sounds good, but a lot really depends on how good the tools and libs are, and compatibility doesn't mean much when its C++ anythings pretty much compatible with anything.
