Google Sketchup 3d mesh into Blitz3d or Blitzmax

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Google Sketchup 3d mesh into Blitz3d or Blitzmax

Hello, My friend Google allows me to build meshs about buildings with a software named Sketchup 3d.

I find this software superb for anyone who cannot use Max3d/lightwave software.

Sketchup is fast to use, the result also.

Is it possible in a way or another to import the mesh sketchup with Blitz3d?

According to the FAQ, the free version will not export to other 3D formats, but the pro version exports to quite a few 3D formats including 3DS which you can load directly into Blitz3D.

Thanks all

Thanks very much Haddad for your last post

I've had the full version of Sketchup for a couple of years - expensive but incredibly intuitive.

It is absolutely superb for buildings (which is what it was designed for) and I built a while set of houses based on the architect's original data a year ago for my brother's business. I wouldn't use anything else.

Best used for houses/buildings -> furniture. Anything more irregular, you'll need another editor.

work fine
