Head over to FullContactDebate.com to register and invite friends. Full Contact Debate is a politically themed multiplayer game featuring smash'n push gameplay. Imagine Super Smash Bros. crossed with Halo and you'll get a good idea. There's video and screen shots like this:

In addition to killer 3rd person action the game also features a built in polling system so your victories are represented in your candidates polls as well as your campaign contribution. A host of secrets within each episode and an Email Award system rounds out the experience.

Oh did I mention it's free? It's a good time and as I say playing is participating. Open Beta starts next Wednesday, pre-register to reserve your game name and invite friends so the action is good from day one!

A few have registered but we need more! Keep 'em coming ;)

Hey nice! What did you use to create the online part?

The polling system and email stuff is all php ... which I love!

I meen the ingame multiplayer...

Ah ... it's based on TGEA so the networking is just about all built in. It's a heavily modified version of the engine but the networking comes with. I hit on nearly every part in order to make it play right.

I think the characters are cool but could do with a few more polys. SHould be quite popular and its nice that its free. Originaly you didn't say it was free so I had a bit of a negative bias towards it. Nice testbed for your PHP systems and hopefully people will buy a few Tshirts and offer some donations or something.

I hope people dig it. I really put a lot into making it play well. At its guts it's a gamers game. It's pick up and play but it's all core stuff and I pushed beyond everything else I've ever done on every aspect especially on the C++ side with the physics, and camera work. All the social aspects and PHP were also a good step forward. Now it's all about building a community around it. All along I knew this would be a free game but also knew that if it sucked people still wouldn't stick around so I tried to do the best I could with limited time and resources. Hopefully, people get into supporting their candidate and build teams/guilds to do it. Might be soemthing I add in as time goes by.
