Supposed first screenshots of EA's highly anticipated Command & Conquer sequel Red Alert 3 have appeared on the internet... and they're looking slightly unimpressive to say the least.

If it's true then it's definitely time for a new PC which will be able to play it properly. I still play RA:2 in skirmish more, so fingers crossed for RA:3, woot!!

They don't look that great, but I'll definitely get it. Red Alert was brilliant.
Red Alert 2 was Great and very fast and also Clever AI computer as well
I like the way they have the three seperate c&c storylines, red alert, c&c and generals, I can see them all merging into one eventually though.
Until about seven years ago I used to love RTSs. I played 'em all. Then, out of the blue, I became absolutely sick of the identi-kit gameplay to the point where I could no longer bear to play them.
Judging by these screenshots nothing seems to have changed very much in those seven years.

Me too. The only exception being Dawn of War, but possibly more because I'm a sucker for WH40K than any of the games actual merits. As long as they let you zoom out further than they did in Generals and Tiberium Wars. I felt the view was far too close sometimes...

Looks like the game is going to have a co-op campaign mode. That has to be a first for a modern-day RTS?
This IS official. I received a news letter this morning with an open invitation for beta testers (so long as you buy Kane's Wrath).
Eh, it will just be a stripped down version of RA2, like every other SAGE engine game is. SAGE is a crappy engine. You can improve a crappy engine of course, but the end result is just 'better crap'.
