Programming C# is Good

Hiya all,

I got book called Microsoft Visual C# 2005 Express Edition programming and I am starting to learn C#. It is good.

I been doing Picture Viewer and also I learn how to close the application by putting C# such as "Application.Exit();"

Now I am going put two button which are Preview and Next where You want to see the preview picture or next picture but I am kind stuck on that.

I also like Challenges when come to end of the chapter to see what you have learn so far.

OK...I like ice cream and my cat's breath smells like cat food.

To bad you don't have Visual Studio Proper Edition and Resharper, so you can actually enjoy it.

Learning C# isn't bad, and is pretty OK.
I use it on my company for DataBase heavy things, and it's capable of it.

For smaller development, I just use PureBasic or something tho.

I came from VB to C# and will never turn back.

I used to code VB for 3 YRS in the past and I dont blame you Tri|Ga|De :)

I hate to be the spelling police because I know its an online forum and many people are using english as their 2nd, 3rd of even 4th language, and it's not that important anyway, but the correct spelling is, "I too like C#.", in that context, Flamey spelt with just one, "o", as well .

Oh the Heresy I read in this forum...

i often mispell (one of the reasons i was kicked out of the magic circle*)
sometimes i dont notice due to being at full screen like now and others my fingers leap frog each other eg ddi instead of did
and it doesnt help programming languages and html using american english so i have to constantly correct my correct spelling of centre and colour

also it bugs when 'corrected' for spelling and grammar links go to m&w an american english dictionary
sorry but i iz ingleesh and dont use a dictionary (i dont even know how to spell it ;) is it 'arry?) but should i do so it would be an english one like oxford or collins ;)

*an idiot aquantence of mine still doesnt get that one

VB is A bomb. Not THE bomb. As in "Somebody set up us the bomb!". Why someone would voluntarily use it is beyond me.

I really like c#. And strippers and beer.

I don't understand what all the hate about vb.net is? I've only used it a little bit, but seems like a nice version of basic to me. I don't like the oldschool "dim blah as meh" syntax, but I'd still easily take it over say, purebasic *gag*.

i'm learning VC++ and its kinda slow by comparison to blitz, way more capable (once i learn DX anyway), but slower. One line of blitz code = 95 lines of DX C++ code.

btw: screw the spelling police, we are programmers, if we can make a computer do incredibly complex things, we don't need to spell, we're already geniuses :P...btw, programmers are probably the worst spellers on earth, natural trait, although I'm particularly good at spelling...and programming...and graphics design...and algebra...MUAHAHAHAA!! BOW DOWN TO ME!! I'M A YEAR AHEAD OF MOST PEOPLE IN MATH!!! BUAHAHAHAAA!!

seriously though, the overall failing intellect of the US is no laughing matter. Many highschoolers can't tell you what country is directly south of the US...true story!! :(

Speaking English is one thing, but spelling it is another.
I can speak only two languages Engilsh and Bad Engilsh.

C# is easy to learn compared to English (or any other national language).

It seems that not having the magical "C" in the name is major problem for some people...

personally I like the dim blah as blah better then the C# equivalent - but that is a personal preference of course. The MY namespace in VB is awesome though, sure I can do everything through the normal namespaces - but I have no reason to bother...
