Poser 5 Help Needed

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Poser 5 Help Needed

Hello.

I'm pretty rubbish when it comes to art but I've got to do some work in poser 5 for some friends (bit more theatre stuff).

Essentially, I've got to animate a model of an animal (pegasus) flying through some mountains. The trouble is, as stated above, I'm pretty rubbish at this type of stuff, so wondering if anyone can give me a few pointers.

- The Walk Creator doesn't work with animals but I'd still like to use walk paths; is that possible? If not, how would I move a model through the 3d environment?

- How difficult is it to import a landscape, eg, from Bryce or something similar (or is it possible to use a standard heightmap - if so, how would you apply texture)?

Anyway, any help gratefully received.

Thanks,

Jes

Asking on a Poser5 forum might help.

Some of the folks on the IndieGamer forum use it for rendering 2D assets, I believe, so you might be able to get some help with the automated(?) stuff over there. Wow though -- as if horses weren't difficult enough to animate yours is a flying one. Brave!

Has someone been boasting about skills they don't have, I wonder? ;)

Hello.

@JustLuke: In a way, yes. However, I've got a good idea of what I want to do, know I've got the ability to do it and thought I'd get a bump-start instead of going down dead-end routes.

I've got my landscape imported, and I've got the pegasus animating (a bit clumsily, but for a couple of hours work, it's fine.) I've got six weeks to do this in so don't have any doubt in my ability at getting it done.

Anyhoo, thanks to Sledge for the pointer.

Goodbye.
