WMP 11 White artifacts problem

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/WMP 11 White artifacts problem

Hello, when using Windows Media Player 11 (in windowed mode) I am getting some annoying white artifacts in the corners of the window. Is this a known problem? If not can anyone think of what may be causing it?

Here`s a picture to show the problem (top corners)

I`m using WinXP Home. Anyone using WMP11 on WinXP without these problems?

Thanks for any help,
Jason.

Have you tried changing to a different skin?

I get it too, but only if the WMP window touches the corners of my monitor ... I guess its some kind of skinning issue.

Just tried changing skins, they all look fine. If posible I would really like to stick with the default look though. If I resize the window the problem goes but when I shut the program down and restart the marks are back.

I have tried disabling several features of my graphics card to see if that made any difference but it didn`t unfortunetly.

Not sure what else to try? It`s just a little annoying, nothing major though I guess.

Jason.

looking at the image i thought it was a 'highlight' effect
