...at least, in recent memory.

Ps:
Pay close attention to who is driving that jeep!

lol! This looks funny.

This has been impressing many in a few of the forums I frequent.

I may have to have a bash on this when its released
I see that they are sticking to the current thinking that some dinosaurs having feathers.

Am I the only one that has noticed that they are Archiopterix not Velociraptor?
Last time I checked Velociraptor's didn't have feathers, trying to think back to Jurassic Park.

I have just noticed that they have issued a statement on their website about exactly what I have just mentioned:

Regarding the controversy surrounding the recently released trailer for our upcoming interactive entertainment experience, "Off-Road Velociraptor Safari" (ORVS), we at Flashbang Studios wish to disseminate the following statement. It may appear we have contradicted the established understanding of what exactly a Velociraptor looks like, particularly with regard to the presence of feathers. This has caused some confusion among viewers of the trailer, who may be more familiar with depictions of Velociraptors found in film and popular media. However, current scientific consensus indicates that Velociraptor mongoliensis, and indeed likely all dromaeosaurids, possessed feathers similar to those of modern birds.

All i have to say is, whatever, they looked cooler in Jurassic Park, don't change it just for the sake of being accurate. I would much rather run over the mean looking guys from JP than the cute looking blue and green ones they show.

Hah, that's genius!

Fossilized dinosaur skin has been found. It looks like lizard skin, thank god.

Hello.

The first video was devoid of anything that looked like entertainment - maybe exchange the velocicraptors for Harold Shipman and it might be fun, though that's stretching it more than a sixteen year old in a penitentiary.

...and as for the second video, that was more arse than Vanessa Phelps on the stiffy of Pavarotti!

Goodbye.

Pretty odd but not that wierd. From the title I would hope actually for more of a jungle-esque jerassic-parkish kind of scenario where the velociraptors are pretty smart and various other dinosoars are there too, hunting you and so on, rather than just a stupid mindless death mash.

Dragging dead velociraptrs around behind your jeep on a ball and chain and then flinging them into a goal to get points is "not that weird"? :-)

I can't see this selling well, so I hope they're plan is a little more complex than that. It's the kind of game which will impress people, many people will try it, lots will like it, but I just can't see it holding the interest beyond 30 minutes of the demo. A few games of the demo, ok that was fun, and you never play it again.

It's like a bigger, better, 3d version of a flash game, and it will do well in that audience, but that sudience expect to play a game on the web, and "pay" with adverts. Unity is web-based, so building some kind of web-based adver-game should be quite easy (?) They seem to have their heads screwed on, so I expect this is the way they'll go. Or perhaps they have something else in mind. But I can't see it holding the attention long enough to work in a class 1 hour demo or limited levels trial and buy system.

Yep, it's made with Unity which means that it can run as a standalone (exe) and as a webplayer. I don't know the purpose of the game, if it's just made for personal fun, promoting the company/webplayer or client work. Anyway personally it's not my thing and i've seen more weird stuff too but i guess it might be fun for others.

Am I the only one that has noticed that they are Archiopterix not Velociraptor?

Nope, my first thought was Archaeopteryx as well:

That's not a game, it's a mediocre tech demo.
