Quite funny, although a lot of profanity.

Darkheart

That's hilarious.

Nice.

I didn't find this funny at all. May be I'm just not hardcore, spot faced, four eyed nerd enough to laugh at this crap.

"I didn't find this funny at all. May be I'm just not hardcore, spot faced, four eyed nerd enough to laugh at this crap."

No, you are just a Female's genital area... actually, thats not true! [Cleanup]Female's genital area[/cleanup] are useful :P

that language is probably not appropriate.

I thought the cussing in robot voices was funny.

I found it amusing because I imagine that's what this generation of teens talks like. There was also a lot of gaming voicechat smacktalk there as well.

But please shoot me if I ever start using phrases like OH EM GEE when talking to people. :-)

I'm with Amon, it bemuses me how people actually find this funny... but then some people think Mr Bean is funny or Paris Hilton a worth while addition to the planet... Whatever floats your boat I guess.

im now temted to say (irl ;) ) "and i was like OMGWTFBBQ!!!111"

Oh dear. A complete lack of comic ability there. The turrets are amusing in the context of the game, but that video is just a bit sad.

This is absolutely terrible. What is wrong with you?

Pure cane:
You're not a fan of Red Vs Blue either I take it? :-)

That was just a waste of a few hours for whoever made it.

Actually, it wasn't bad for machinima. Admitedly 99.99% of machinima is complete and utter crap...

There was a smile on my face while watching it, good find as usual sswift!

If you find that funny I conclude that you are all barking.

Well this is interesting! Everyone who didn't like it, except Noel, was from Europe. But the people who did like it were both from Europe and the US.

Seems that some people in Europe have a different sense of humor than the rest of us! Imagine that. :-)

Oh and Noel looks like that guy from the Look Around You videos, so he's british enough.

I talk to more of you creepy Brits than Americans on a daily basis, believe it or not. You people have the weirdest slang.

For the record, I never saw anything funny in it either. (nor did I see anything funny in the video sswift linked to as an example of "european" humour).

Perturbatio:
That wasn't an example of euopean humor. That was an example of americans finding the way europeans react to being slapped upside the head as being funny. :-)

Do that to am american and it would be more like "Dude, wtf!" and then there would be RETRIBUTION in the form of arm punches.

Also, I kind of imagined that by posting the video, I was the guy on the left, and all the European folks that hated it were like "I can't believe you've done this!"

my brother had to learn his jk2 clan english instead of l337 or anything else
95% of em were americans 3 that i know are from oop norf (brother and 2 of his mates)
when they talked about barnies everyone else was thinking big purple dinosuars :))
"reet you lot can geet stuffed im off for me tea"

my brother had to learn his jk2 clan english

did he learn you too? ;)

That's the British. I wouldn't take that as a representation of all of Europe.

Also, the British working class seem to be pretty tough, from what I have seen. Sort of like the Ozzies.

Also, I kind of imagined that by posting the video, I was the guy on the left, and all the European folks that hated it were like "I can't believe you've done this!"
No it would be more "I can't believe you're defending a remarkably misguided sense of humour and trying to make this a racist issue. Then suggest anyone that doesn't like it should be slapped and further more if you are slapped then instead of simply responding with vocal disapproval that you should in fact attempt to turn it into a fight"

Remarkable. (!)

Actually, I liked the video. I was like "heh.....whatever".
Looks like quite an effort put to make that machinima though which is at least worth a congratulation.

I think all threads that start with just a youtube link should be deleted.

But I got shouted down last time I said that.

Racist? Peole from great britain are caucassian, don't be silly. :-) Also no person in their right mind would claim the sense of humor of the british is the same as that of Americans, and I'm glad it is that way cause I enjoy a lot of british comedy.

Also I'm not suggesting you beat people up who slap you. I just think it is an amusing response to it, because it's completely different from what I, as an American, would expect said response to be.

Geez, has it come to this where we can't even have a lighthearted discussion of how our cultures differ with some friendly jabs ast eachother?

Racism has nothing to do with skin colour, it's about race.

For example "Americans are idiots who don't understand sarcasm" would be a racist comment. (!)

There is also a difference between race and nationality.

Since "American" is a description of nationality, saying that "Americans are idiots who don't understand sarcasm" would not be racist at all, however it would be a gross generalisation.

OK fair point :p I concede!

My point was my post was intentionally over the top and sarcastic.

In that case I'd like to add that saying "JustLuke is an idiot who doesn't understand sarcasm" isn't racist either, but it's still true. ;)

"See, now, Americans are mean and punch people!"

"I am british and it offends me that you generalize us as being more polite than Americans!"

"!?"

Whew, smells a bit BS-ish in here.

Funny video tho :D

2p's worth:
In my experience, americans enjoy sarcasm, it just has to be made obvious for the masses (think friends etc.). The british have kind of refined it to the point its sometimes so dry and cryptic that no one else recognises it, which kind of defeats the point. :P

Anyway, its a dumb argument based on stereotypes, if we hated each others humour that much, john clease, monty python, rowan atkinson, guy ritchie films etc.. would be unknown in the states. Likewise we wouldnt have the million re-runs of friends, malcom, simpsons, jay leno etc...

"Likewise we wouldnt have the million re-runs of friends, malcom, simpsons"

You guys actually import that crap?

Actually I find malcom and simpsons rather amusing. However repeat runs Friends however has started to test my resolve im afraid. :P

Family guy and "the office" all the way here :-)

i love confusing some of my eastern european co-workers
mostly due to the language barrier, something moderatly sane and sensible but somewhow said differently and i get a wtf expression

but the best are when i go a bit surreal and walk off smiling to myself as some lithuanian girl (called raymond ffs) has to put her brain back in her head after it popped out

"the office" Thats an english show written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. (the americans did their own version afterwards which was not as good (IMO) and was still funny sometimes i guess, just in an different way)

Your English already confuses me. It's just that bad. ¬_¬

Ginger Tea, why would you do that?

It's tough to live in a foreign country. Don't you think that general language difficulties, culture shock and being seperated from one's family and friends are stressful enough without jerks like you making life more difficult?

I can't believe you done that, mate.

Why?

who said i was making life difficult
90% of my co workers are polish and i get on with most i have regular contact with

some have a clique that actually alienates the english/non polish

all ive done is go up to someone and say
"supercalifragalisticexpialidotious spell it"
i did this twice in one week to the same girl even after saying "the answer is I T" the first time round she still wtf'd

i dont dumb down my english when i talk to people, one girl who left for a better job thanked me for that fact as she learnt more expressions than her time learning english at school before coming here

although one of my faves is a supervisor
shes half spanish/chinese
raised in the phillapeens (but no knowledge of telagog)
lived in the uk for 30+ years yet still talks like the hooker from full metal jacket(?)
i keep expecting her to say
"succy succy ten dollar
I love you plenty big time twenty dollar"

I myself lived abroad when i was an army brat
i moved back here when i was about 8 79/80 after my dad left the army and germany where he was stationed and my german as we didnt interact was slim
but if i spent 30 years abroad id hope to speak better than she does hell 10 of our ex polish workers spoke better english than i pretend to

Ha ha. I'll have to tell this one to my Chinese girlfriend. Oh, how she'll laugh.

Why?

I was subtly pointing out what a weakling you are. I like the Polish more than the English (They have higher IQs and they're more closely related to me. They're also good people, and most of the English I meet are leftist tools), but they don't belong in Britain.

Oh well, at least your country will be repopulated with people who have the evolutionary advantage of a spine.

The Polish don't belong in Britain? Tell me more...

EDIT:

If hatred and intolerance make me a weakling and a p***y (yes, I read your original post before you replaced the latter with the former) then I'm proud to be both these things. Here's some personal information for you: I'm an English national. I'm also adopted - my natural father is German and a grandparent on my natural mother's side is Burmese.

Perhaps you think that I should never have been born? After all, there's nothing worse than filthy foreigners going where they don't belong, right?

I don't explain myself to leftists:
What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

As I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents and pictures. ...he will refuse to believe it until he's going to receive a kick in his fat bottom. When a military boot crashes his balls, then he will understand, but not before that. That's the tragedy of the situation of demoralization.
-Yuri Bezmenov (ex-KGB agent and Soviet defector)

Don't you think that it's quite narrow minded and, well, rather ignorant to see everything in such black/white, leftist/rightist terms? Why polarise issues in such a simplistic way? Life is far more nuanced than that.

Perhaps the real reason why you refuse to defend your statements (particularly ones such as your earlier "the Polish don't belong in Britain") is because your statements are indefensible.

Are you an objectivist by the way? Your sentiments seem very close to those of Ayn Rand. I'm just curious.

I think our company would close without migrant workers (from any nation)*
everyone here is open that they are here to earn more money than they can at home
most send cash back others are saving up to buy a house
i have no beef with that

untill the wages increase over there they have an incentive to do s**te mundane jobs in the uk and other places in europe that 90% of the indigenouse workforce wouldnt get out of bed for
im not saying that they are the only jobs they are good for, far from it
some are taking any jobs and learning english enough to get a job in the field they have skilled themselves in, or have good enough english to begin with but their quallifications are not recognized over here (yet) so are taking the relevant exams

the lithuanian girl (raymondia i think is the real spelling, im finding it hard to fancy a girl with a blokes name :-p ) has gone back home to take her vetinary exams and would like to be a vet in the uk more than back home, perhaps for monitary concerns perhaps not, she rarely works near my end and id have to go out of my way to talk to her ... and most days i cant be bothered so i pester the chef's instead.

*some due to the benifits system and job apathy (im not cleaning a toilet for £nat min wage" but would you do it for £15?
one of our english employees' mate was after a job and she told him which agency to apply to
he was turned down for not having the right skills
the right skills
what skills do you need to wash dishes

or do the right skills mean the ability to speak polish? she came to the conclusion that the agency activly refuses employment on the grounds of nationality

Don't you think that it's quite narrow minded and, well, rather ignorant to see everything in such black/white, leftist/rightist terms? Why polarise issues in such a simplistic way? Life is far more nuanced than that.

I was expecting that response. I have a degree in neuroscience, I have published research, founded a corporation, trade in foreign currencies, travel around the world, interviewed at Harvard, Yale, and Stanford medical schools, and have been accepted to the Royal Institute of Technology/Karolinska Intitute in Sweden. So I think I can safely say I am not "ignorant".

"Ignorant" is a keyword Marxists use to describe persons who possess true information and reject Marxist/Leninist ideology. It's interesting they should use that term, because demoralized individuals know nothing but ideology, which rarely corresponds to reality.

It might interest you to know that the term "politically correct" originated in the Russian Communist Party of the 1920's. Political opponents than, as now, were characterized as being uneducated or mentally ill.

Only when you are facing death will you understand. This is the tragedy of demoralization.

And I have two degrees, shortly to be followed by a third. I have also travelled, lived and worked in foreign countries. I have a genius level IQ (according to MENSA). There are many issues unrelated to my particular areas of expertise that I am ignorant about. The more I learn, the more I am aware of my ignorance.

I am also neither "politically correct" nor a Marxist. I don't subscribe wholesale to any one ideology or philosophy.

By the way, you never answered my question - are you an Objectivist?

In the sense that I believe in objective reality, yes. The rest of it sounds like a bunch of bull.

I am also neither "politically correct" nor a Marxist.

But you are. You're whining about the plight of the Polish, even as your own country suffers from massive unemployment. Fortunately, the Polish will not suffer such moral pangs once they outnumber you. I don't blame them, they are just colonizing you and taking advantage of your weakness. And like I said, I like the Polish people I have known, and I think they have a society that has yet to be destroyed by Western decay. This is the way things have always worked. You are not the first country to decide that the world's problems were more important than your own, it's just that those civilizations rarely get mentioned in history because they are so short-lived.

It's simply evolution, and if you don't agree, you will shortly be replaced by someone who does.

In the sense that I believe in objective reality, yes. The rest of it sounds like a bunch of bull.

Fair enough. Objectivism is interesting. Like you I accept some of it but reject the rest (as I do for Marxism), but it seems that we accept and reject different parts. I reject the notion of objective reality but I accept the concept of rational self-interest.

By the way, I'm not trying to antagonise you. Philosophy and ideology are particular interests of mine. I genuinely enjoy having discussions with people who hold very different opinions to my own. However, I'm sure that you can understand why I (being a somewhat "mixed race" person who is in a long term "mixed relationship") might find some of your comments distasteful?

It's simply evolution, and if you don't agree, you will shortly be replaced by someone who does.

And I think that this is our key difference of opinion. I don't have a nationalistic sentiment in my body. England is an inanimate object. A hunk of rock. I don't feel a sense of allegiance to it. I'm a big advocate of freedom of movement and open-borders. I personally won't be replaced, and I have no problem with who lives in or "takes over" my country of birth.

I don't have a nationalistic sentiment in my body. England is an inanimate object. A hunk of rock. I don't feel a sense of allegiance to it.

Thank you. That is exactly what I was getting at.

Come now, you're hinting at far more than that. You are implying links between Marxism, weakness of character, and my anti-nationalistic/pro-internationalistic sentiments. Your point appears to boil down to "if you don't love your country then you're a spineless, weak-willed communist!"

In short, you seem intent on forcing me to fit not only into some sort of preconceived (and somewhat paranoid) leftist/marxist category, but also into a stereotypical category based on my nationality. I assure you, I do not fit in either.

I agree with Justluke.

And I see that Leadwerks may have changed his alias and his tone when dealing with Blitz users so that he doesn't sound like an arrogant bastard all the time, but deep down he hasn't really changed a bit.

Having a college education makes you EDUCATED. It doesn't make you WISE.

Helping people who are suffering or starving isn't WEAK, it's HUMANITARIAN.

Having an orchard and jailing peasants who try to steal your apples when they are starving isn't STRENGTH, it's SELFISHNESS.

I feel the same way. What Leadwerks here doesn't realise is that half the world's problems are caused by selfish individuals like himself who are only interested in protecting their own interests.

Why did America go to Iraq? Because Iraq has oil, and we want it. We don't care about how many millions of Iraqi civilians are killed in order for us to get it, so long as we can continue to have cheap gas for our SUV's.

Why did WWII happen? Because the Germans were in tough times, and some guy came along and promised to help them solve all of that. Then they built up an army, pledged allegience to their country, and marched all over Europe taking what was "rightfully theirs". And it went on for as long as it did, because as usual, the US decided that it's own interests would be best served if it just sat back and did nothing... That is until the war came to them when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.

Communism doesn't work, not because it isn't a good idea, but because there will always be people like Leadwerks, who think they are entitled to more than everyone else, and justifying that with whatever means neccessary, be it their education, country of origin, birthright, ethnic background, religion, etc.

(And also because people aren't willing to work as hard when there is no reward associated with doing so; which is why I think we need some sort of hybrid of communism and capitalism; but that's another discussion.)

sswift, I know you and I haven't always seen eye to eye, but that post of yours.... I'd like to take you out and buy you as many beers as you can drink :P

I agree with JustLuke, Sswifty and The Lucifer Dude. :)

I agree with some people and disagree with others.

And I also think this has drifted somewhat off topic and is largely down to me... Um... Ho hum... Locky locky!
