Is Graphics Compatible with My motherboard?

Is Geforce 8800GTS 640MB Compaible with my motherboard(CONROE 1333-D667)?

Check if your motherboard has a PCI-E 16x slot and your psu outputs enough power. Thats all I can think of at the moment.

I have forgot put Power connector back of the graphics card but I got two plugs. Does that mean I have plug one for motherboard and other PSU or just PSU?

The instruction isnt very good and it doesnt tell me about power connector on how to connect somethings.

All it tell me about quick driver installation and directx installations and that it really.

If your power supply is fairly new, it should have a PCIe connector (6 pin). If not, then you may need to purchase a 4 pin Molex to PCIe converter to enable you to power the graphics card.

I have the 8800GTS 640MB card as well, but mine only has one power connector, yet you seem to be saying that yours has two?!

I only got one spare left for PSU, meaning I got two plugs(power connector back of the graphics cards) from graphics cards and that mean I can put one of power connector plugs to PSU plugs....

I think you have to connect both to the psu.

Then you bought a really strange version of that card. Only the 8800GTX is normally Dual Power connector, the 8800GTS (I've the same as you but even eVGA SuperClocked) only has 1 PCIe 6pin connector.

Nah my 8800 GTS has two connectors. You have the old style 8800GTS. The newer versions of the GTS are a lot faster... it's pretty confusing that they keep the same name. If you bought it for new prices recently, I suggest you look at sending it back. An 8800GT will give similar if not better performance at a cheaper price. The new line of 8800GTS are also a good buy. I think the new 8800GTS can be recognised by being half the height of the old ones - i.e: It takes up a single slot width. Am I right on that last point, Dreamora??

I don't know about the physical size, but the newer GTSs have 512MB of VRAM, while the older ones have either 320MB or 640MB.

nomen: mine is the old as well, the new ones have only 256 bit busses (-> 512MB VRAM) and as you see mine is 640MB as well :)

I've my card since April or May 07 ... :)

Don't know if it takes up less size. My next card will be a DX11 card most likely by the end of 09 ...
