The post readed are marked as "new" for munch days!
It is not useful!

Please, mark new only post are really new!

(new) doesn't mean a new thread, it means a new reply on an existing thread.

(new) marks new topics or topics with new replies since your last visit. I find it very useful.

The problem is that it mark all post in 6 ot 7 days. Read or not read.

It occur only in this forum (all of www.blitzbasic.com). All other forums mark really only post that i not read!!!

I agree - the 'new' tag is pretty useless, as it stays for quite a while even if you've read the thread.

I believe it based on browser session without a timeout. so closing the browser or logging out should get rid of all the "(new)"'s

dmaz: not sure that's it. I often seee 'new' threads that I've already read, even when turning on my PC the next day. I never log out, BTW - does anyone?
