PCI Express x16 slot?

I just want make sure if I am right...is GEFORCE 8800GTS 512MB is for PCI Express x16 slot?

how reliable is
Gigabyte GeForce 8800GTS 512MB(GDDR3 PCIE 2.0 Dual DVI) ?


My Abit Graphics (Readion 9600XT) is very reliable but I am not sure about Gigabyte graphics before I going to buy them.

It is an x16 lane but following the PCIe 2.0 standard.

My monitor can go up to 1650 x 1050. Now which Graphics cards would I go for Geforce 8800GT 512MB or Geforce 8800GTS 512MB....both are good

I think most graphics cards can go up to that resolution. My old onboard one went up to 1600x1200. I don't know about THAT resolution though.

I'd go with the 8800GTS 512MB over the GT, as it comes close to the performance of the 8800GTX. Make sure it's the newer 512MB version though, and not the older 320/640MB ones.

make sure you have a power supply that can support the new graphicscard. minimum 500W is my recommendation.

My PSU is 500W :)

I gonna try get Zotac GeForce 8800GTS 512MB GDDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 which is £205 (not bad price.)
